Our first game of the day was against Neptune which was very tight up until the 3rd Quarter, when James Power and Jack O'Shannon picked up injuries which unfortunately ended their day of basketball. This game resulted in a loss. However the team learned a lot about each other and how to play together and this knowledge was utilised in our later game.

In our second and third game against Limerick Celtics and Fr Matthews, the team had two convincing wins, giving us momentum in which we carried into the quarter finals. The quarter final against Dublin Lions started slow for UCD Marian, however with some inspiring words at halftime from our head coach, Fran Ryan, we continued to battle and e out on top of a strong Lions team, winning by 4 points in the end.

Our final game of the day was the semi final against an experienced Titan's team containing many International players, This game was a true mental and physical test to the team after a long day of basketball. With many lead changes up until the 2nd half, Titans showed their experience and managed to pull away in the end, resulting in a semi final knockout for UCD Marian.

During this tournament our team learned a lot which will be helpful throughout the rest of our season, and we'd like to thank Fran Ryan and Jon Gleich for a great day of UCD Marian basketball.
