Through the tireless work of our volunteer Coaches and Managers UCD Marian Basketball Club works to constantly improve the overall coaching and playing standard of basketball within the Club and local community.

The Club through the work of our Coaching Director Sean Ingle (see bio below) and our coaches has implemented a coaching framework which is designed to manage the focus, volume and type of training applied to our players as they develop from academy all the way to adult basketball. This requires our coaches especially in the early juvenile teams to invest in player development and enjoyment rather than focus on team development and on winning games. This longer-term focus ensures all our players have the opportunity to maximise their individual basketball potential and also contributes positively to the development of the individual.
